Christian brothers stabbed to death in Lahore Pakistan

Two Christian brothers have been stabbed to death in Lahore in Pakistan.

Last Wednesday on 21st August — 2019, the attackers Abdul Majeed and his sons Amjad and Naveed forced their way in to the home of one of  Javed Masih in Butt Chowk, the area of Lahore and stabbed him cruelly, according to Catholic charity, Aid to the Church in Need.

Mr. Masih’s brother, Suleman Masih was knifed as well when he went inside to find out what was going on. Javed Masih’s son Adeel was also wounded in that attack.

Both brothers were taken to Jinnah Hospital Lahore by the help of police but Javed Masih was pronounced dead on arrival and his brother died later at the hospital.

The local sources have advised that the death of the two Christian brothers by their Muslim neighbors may have a religious dimension.

Tensions apparently began after Javed Masih told one of Abdul Majeed’s children to stop scratching the stickers off his van.

Abdul Majeed’s sons Amjad and Naveed later beat Javed Masih.

The father of the two brothers, Riaz Masih told The Express Tribune: “I went to meet Amjad and Naveed’s father, Abdul Majid, and requested him to solve this matter. First of all, Majeed accepted the apology but later he came with his sons and knifed both my boys repeatedly.”

Abdul Majeed and his sons have been arrested now. Relatives of the brothers claim the family “has been put under pressure to settle without going to court by the accused’s family.”

Pakistan Christian Times strongly condemns this brutal act. It is also appealed to concerned officials and police to investigate this incident fully.

It looks that many people are still brave to play with law and order. It should be supervised through law enforcement agencies to overcome such kind of circumstances because this is not the death of two Christian brothers but this is also the murder of humanity and humility.
