We as Christians all believe that the character of God is rooted in Love. The Bible tells us that the God is Love and He is an unconditional Love. His Love is not like we experience with the people of this world but His is really very different than usually we have understanding of Love. The one of the remarkable thing is that God does not love us as we gratify Him but He loves us because He is Love.
“7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
The Bible tells us the deep explanation of God kind of Love in
“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.”
We can read some of these verses here to comprehend His love. First we talk about how God practice Love with us. The very first things we all know as Christians that when we didn’t give our life to Jesus Christ or in simple words we did not commit our life as God’s word says; at that time God did not being impatient towards us; He had been waiting us like a good father who does not rejects his children even going through any sort of condition. Means God’s love is patient. His Love is kind, it does not envy, boast or proud. God’s Love does not insult others. God’s Love does not seek its own as well. By some of things we are talking about; we can understand the very strong part of God’s Love is that it is not self-centered. The worldly love which we can practice with any person of this world is always self-centered; its base is “Give and take” rule, means if you give me love and respect then I will give you the love and respect. But Godly Love is entirely opposite of this rule. Godly Love says simply, “It does not matter you give me Love or not; I will keep on Loving you as God does to me.”
Our father God requires, as He Loves us we are to practice the same Love with one another. God wants that His Love spread through us to every person around us; so we can be the true imitator of God’s Love. If we are walking in God’s love without seek our own then we are true follower of God and He is always with us to help us to fulfill His perfect will being fulfilled through us.
