Final touches given to recommendations for Sindh Hindu Marriage Registration rules
KARACHI: (Christian Times) – Final touches have been given to the recommendations for Sindh Hindu Marriage Registration Rules.
According to details, an important meeting of the committee formed under the headship of Sindh Chief Minister’s special advisor on the minorities’ affairs Dr Khatto Mal Jeevan in which the recommendations were given the final shape.
The meeting had been called on the orders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman. Briefing the committee, Secretary for Minority Affairs Farooq Azam told that the rules have been formed in accordance with the spirit of the Hindu Marriage Act.
Dr Jeevan said on the occasion that providing every kind of facilities to the minorities was a major priority of the provincial government. He added that the rules have been formulated in a manner that it’d resolve all the problems in this regard.
The draft will be discussed in the provincial cabinet meeting on October 26 and the meeting will be headed by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
