12 dead and 9 injured in Lahore Metro Buses crash

A head-on crash between two metro buses near Gajju Mata, Lahore on Monday left 12 dead along with a university student and 9 injured, a General Hospital official told Christian Times Pakistan.

Rescue 1122 officials arrived at the scene and helped evacuate the injured from the buses.

As a result of the accident 12 people along with 22-year-old Ammara Mubeen, a student of the University of Education who was on her way to the varsity, lost their life sadly.

The injured, according to the reliable reports, were shifted to Lahore General Hospital (LGH) for treatment, the dead bodies also transferred to General Hospital.

A first information report (FIR) of the incident was filed against the two buses’ drivers on the complaint of the deceased student at Nishtar Colony police station.

The complainant, in the FIR, stated that the two drivers were speeding and driving recklessly, which transpired into the accident and claimed his sister’s life on the spot.
