A one and half-month later distribution of Christmas grants is helpful or uncomfortable for poor Christians’ pains
It is not still cleared that given grant is the cure of some chronic wounds of needy Christians or it make more pain for them to remember their sad past of 2018 Christmas day
In the beginning in the month of December of 2018; government announced a about a Christmas grant for the poor and needy Christians. But because of some reasons that grant got late to be released. Many poor and needy Christian families were in wait of that grant after its announcement; perhaps they were thinking that this year they would not face the infirmities to fulfill the needs of their children but because of they delay of this Christmas grant; those poor people remained hopeless.
A one and half month has passed now after the Christmas; even many needy people have almost forgotten the good and bad memories of 2018; and on the same time Mr. Ejaz Alam Augustine the Punjab’s Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs are giving the Christmas grant cheques to the poor and needy Christians.
This act of government shows two sides of one picture. The first one is that it good that at least government did not forget her promise to Christian community but the second side is very sad and it is that many Christian who were waiting for help for their great event of the year would suffer the lack and they would make some excuses their Children that next year would the best. It is not still cleared that given grant is the cure of some chronic wounds of needy Christians or it make more pain for them to remember their sad past of 2018 Christmas day.
This is a question mark for the present government for the care of minorities; and only government knows its answer.
