Four More Beings Questioned in Mualana Samiul Haq Assassination

Four more people were questioned in connection with the assassination of Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq from Ratta Amral. The four beings had been in contact with the JUI-S chief recently.

The inquisitor have collected hair of three lengths, the bed sheet with blood on it and three glasses from the crime scene in accumulation to other indication. The hair and blood samples were sent to a scientific laboratory for DNA test.

A source said the police’s information technology wing is working on the mobile phone data of the murder JUI-S leader and the calls he made before mobile phone service was postponed due to the Tehreek-i-Labbaik protest. The police are trying to reach out to people who had contacts with the victim.

He said the police questioned more than 20 people including neighbors, private security guards and tube-well operators, but no one of these were retarded.

The police conducted an examination of the gardens in the neighboring households and the nearby mountainous areas for the assassination weapon and other sign which could lead them to the murderer.

The police also attained the medical inspection report from the private hospital where Maulana Samiul Haq was taken and marked dead.

The police did not receive any calls from the late JUI-S leader or anyone else regarding the occurrence, perhaps due to interruption of mobile phone services.

However, police specialists from the IT department are working on recovering the data of incoming and outgoing phone calls of Maulana Samiul Haq phone.

Four people were in contact with the victim over the last week, said by the source. They were handpicked up by the police from Ratta Amral and were permitted to go after being questioned in order to inaugurate links with other people.

According to initiators, a police team will probable be sent to Akora Khattak to talk the secretary of the former senator and some other beings who had been in contact with him.


The secretary of Maulana Samiul Haq; named Syed Ahmed Shah left the JUI-S leader unaccompanied in his bedroom on the second floor of a Safari villa in Bahria Town and sealed the main gate from outer side before departure for a near water purification plant.

An initial police examination suggests that Mr. Shah returned after some fifteen minutes to catch the main gate unlocked and Maulana Samiul Haq speared in his bedroom.

The police think the assassin may have been inside the house when Mr. Shah went outside as he had locked the gate before leaving.

The statement of Mr. Shah would help them get to the murderer and the cause behind the killing” they said.
