BERLIN: Another incident of torching a mosque in Germany has come to the fore. The mosque was badly damaged in the incident but no one was injured.
According to German police, there could be political reasons behind the incident but it was also investigating other aspects. However, it isn’t yet clear which group was involved in the attack.
The mosque is administered by a Turkish organisation. A statement issued by the management says that the interior of the mosque was completely burnt.
It is pertinent to mention here that explosives have been thrown at other mosques in Germany during the recent months.
A report released by German government recently states that around 1000 attacks took place on Muslims mosques, men and women during the last one year.
All the perpetrators in these attacks belonged to right-wing extremists. At least 33 people were injured in these attacks.
