LAHORE: Pakistani transgender people have been allowed to perform Hajj and the first group of 40 will go for Hajj this year.

The step to allow the trans people to visit Islam’s holy sites is being considered a major decision. It is pertinent to mention here that the trans people were counted for the first time in the census this year and the process to issue passports to them also started after that.

The trans people going to Hajj this year belong to Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. They were made members of the association only the last week and they will be offering their services as scouts this year on Hajj.
