KUWAIT CITY: (Christian Times) – A court in Kuwait on Saturday sentenced a blogger to five years in prison over tweets criticising Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A Kuwaiti newspaper reported that the blogger was named Abdullah al-Saleh and that he had not only tweeted against Saudi Arabia but had also risked the gulf state’s relationship with the kingdom.
Abdullah al-Saleh has been handed this sentence over his analyses of the Qatar-Saudi controversy in which Qatar is on one side while the other oil-rich Gulf States have sided with the Saudi government boycotting Qatar for almost a year.
