28/08/2017– Brampton, ON – Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for Brampton North, held a Youth Dodgeball Tournament this weekend at the Brampton Soccer Centre. The Tournament created the opportunity for positive interactions amongst youth and our community leaders and emergency services. Youth had the opportunity to ask questions, seek mentorship, and play a few games of friendly Dodgeball.
The Tournament was well attended by Brampton youth of all ages as well as MP Sahota’s Brampton North Youth Council, Brampton Fire and Emergency service personnel, community members and representatives from other MP and MPP offices.
“I am thrilled to see so many young people come out and take part in our interactive day of Dodgeball,” said MP Sahota. “We have been having some great conversations today, about youth issues and Brampton’s future. Opportunities like this reinforce the fact that our youth matter and we must work hard to build positive relations with all members of our community.”
The tournament’s final Dodgeball game of the evening was a best of three between Brampton Fire and Emergency Service personnel and a team composed of young Brampton professionals. The Tournament was decided in the third game, where Brampton Fire and Emergency Service personnel came out victorious after a hard fought game.
