RAWALPINDI: Reaching another milestone in making Pakistan’s defences undefeatable, Pakistan Navy on Thursday successfully tested cruise missile ‘Babar’ that can hit its target up to 450 kilometres away with 100 percent precision.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of the army, Babar has been manufactured completely in Pakistan and is equipped with latest guidance and navigation systems.
The cruise missile was fired from an underground platform and it reached its target with unbelievable accuracy.
The experiment was observed by Strategic Plans Division’s Director General, Nescom Chairman, senior officials of Naval Strategic Force Command, scientists and engineers associated with the project.
Babar missile is the second most reliable strike capability deterrent for the country. President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff congratulated the scientists and engineers over successful experiment.
