Canada: Protest against abuse of blasphemy law in Pakistan, Sajid Masih incident held

ONTARIO: Pakistani Christians living in Canada on Saturday held a protest against abuse of blasphemy law in Pakistan and in favour of its latest victim Sajid Masih. The protest was attended by people in large number.

The protestors demanded that immediate measures must be taken in order to curb the misuse of blasphemy law in Pakistan and that the Christian community living in Pakistan must be given equal rights as citizens.

The Canadians at the protest stated that the massacre of minorities, especially Christians, in Pakistan must stop in the name of religious extremism.

The protest was organized by the Christian community in Canada, including Canadian Christian Association, Canadian Multicultural Care Group, Pakistan Christian Times, Evangelical Asian Church, Cornerstone Asian Church, United Christian Federation, All Peoples Church Canada, DESP Canada, Refugee for Refugee and Red Shawl.
