LAHORE: (Christian Times) – Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday uttered extremely controversial remarks when he said while addressing a lawyers’ ceremony that a speech is like a woman’s skirt, it should neither be too long, nor too short.
CJ is being severely criticised for his ‘sexist’ remarks. “A speech should be like a woman’s skirt. It shouldn’t be long enough to lose people’s interest nor should it be so short that it fails to cover the main subject”, he had said.
Social media erupted in anger over the remarks and ‘#ChiefJusticeApologise’ trended in Pakistan demanding an apology from the highest ranking judge of the country.
