ABU DHABI: (Christian Times) – Pakistanis living in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday celebrated Christmas and Jinnah Day at Pakistani embassy located in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by Pakistanis in large numbers.
Talking on the occasion, Pakistani ambassador Muhammad Moazzam Khan said that the Pakistanis were not only celebrating Christmas at the embassy today but were also celebrating the birth anniversary of the country’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
He added that the idea behind celebrating both the festivals together was to promote Jinnah’s principles and opinions who believed that the minorities in Pakistan will be provided equal rights.
The ambassador said that Pakistan had been founded to respect the rights of the minorities and thus it was highly important for us to keep these values alive. He said that the minorities in Pakistan enjoyed complete rights to follow their religions.
